These are dishes you can experience at our house. Please choose some from the list and request them.!

・Fish dishes
Let's cut up the fish caught in the sea of Kochi together and cook it as sashimi, meuniere, fried fish, etc. You can also experience going to the market to buy fish. Or, on some days, we can go fishing on my father-in-law's boat.
・Meat wrapped in vegetables
Wrap thin slices of Japanese beef or pork in vegetables and grill them with a sweet and spicy sauce based on soy sauce.
・Fried dishes
Have you ever tried kushiage? Meat, seafood, and vegetables are threaded on bamboo skewers, coated with breadcrumbs, and fried in rice oil. You can eat a lot of them with delicious Japanese sauces and mayonnaise! Croquettes made with mashed potatoes and tempura made with flour batter are also delicious!
・Tamagoyaki
This is a dish that is almost always included in Japanese bento, but it is also eaten as a regular meal by changing the ingredients inside.
・Miso soup:
A soup made by boiling seasonal vegetables, fish, meat, tofu, etc. together with dashi and miso.
・Temaki sushi, chirashizushi:
A dish eaten at Japanese celebrations. It is made with vinegared rice mixed with sweet vinegar, and your favorite ingredients are wrapped in seaweed or topped with other ingredients.
・Food using glutinous rice:
Takikomi gohan is made by cooking rice and glutinous rice together with seasonal vegetables, meat, and fish and dashi. It is a very chewy and delicious dish.

    Tempura (天ぷら) is a classical Portuguese dish brought to and popularized by Japan, consisting of seafood or vegetables that have been battered and deep fried. Tempura is a typical home-style cooking in Japan. It is often referred to as a representative dish to Japan. Although there are various theories, it is said that Tokugawa Ieyasu, the general of the Edo period, liked tempura so much that he allegedly died from eating too much.

    Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.
