·Seafood Paella
Seafood Paella is one of Spain’s most iconic dishes. In this class, we’ll teach you how to cook it from scratch using bomba rice, a homemade fish broth, and fresh seafood such as mussels, clams, prawns, and squid. We’ll also explain how to get the perfect “socarrat” – the crispy layer at the bottom that everyone loves!
·Grilled Cuttlefish with Garlic & Parsley
Tender cuttlefish grilled to perfection and seasoned with a fragrant garlic and parsley dressing. This simple yet flavorful dish is a popular Mediterranean tapa and a great way to start your culinary journey with us.
·Mussels Marinera
This is a delicious tapa made with fresh mussels cooked in a special sauce in which you will love to dip bread. It is light, tasty and one of the most traditional Mediterranean starters.
·Clams with White Wine & Garlic
Simple yet elegant, these clams are steamed with white wine, garlic, and parsley, creating a rich, aromatic dish that pairs beautifully with the paella.
·“Pan con Tomate” (Pa amb Tomàquet)
A Catalan classic! This tapa is made by rubbing fresh tomato on toasted rustic bread, then drizzling with extra virgin olive oil and a pinch of sea salt. We’ll teach you the secret to getting it just right.
·Txaka Pintxo
A traditional Basque pintxo made with crab meat mixed with mayonnaise and other seasonings, served on a small toasted bread slice. It’s creamy, savory, and a perfect appetizer to start your cooking experience.
·Sangría
Throughout the class, guests enjoy unlimited homemade sangría.
In this immersive 2-hour cooking experience, you’ll start by enjoying a welcoming Basque pintxo de txaka (crab meat on toasted bread) paired with a glass of our fresh homemade sangría. Then, we kick off the class with introductions before diving into the first dish: grilled cuttlefish with garlic and parsley — your first bite of the evening.
Next, you’ll prepare the iconic Catalan pan con tomate, where each guest makes their own toasted bread with ripe tomato and olive oil. The class continues with cooking clams in white wine, followed by mussels in a rich marinera sauce. Finally, you’ll learn how to make an authentic seafood paella, combining fresh mussels, clams, prawns, and squid with perfectly cooked bomba rice.
Throughout the class, enjoy unlimited sangría while cooking alongside our local Catalan chefs, who share their passion and insider tips. Once the cooking is done, everyone sits down together to savor the delicious dishes you’ve created, sharing stories and laughter.
As a special touch, the day after the class, we send you the full recipe book so you can recreate these flavors at home and share the taste of Barcelona with your loved ones.
