    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

Hi, I’m Michiyo. I worked as a tour guide in Japan and overseas, and since 2008, I’ve been teaching cooking and bread-making.

Now, I welcome international guests into my home to experience authentic Japanese daily life through baking and culture.

In this class, you will make Japanese bread (Shokupan) — soft, fluffy, and slightly sweet.

During fermentation time, you can enjoy a simple Japanese cultural activity such as calligraphy or matcha.

After baking, relax and enjoy your freshly baked bread with tea or coffee in a cozy home setting.

The dough is prepared in advance, so even beginners can fully enjoy shaping and baking without stress.
