3. Chicken and Vermicelli Soup (Shorbat Dajaj Bil Sh’ariyah)
A light, aromatic soup with tender chicken, toasted vermicelli, and subtle spices. Guests will practice cooking meat and pasta together for a perfectly balanced texture.
4. Fattoush
A vibrant salad of crisp vegetables, fresh herbs, and toasted Arabic bread, dressed in a tangy sumac-lemon dressing. Guests will learn chopping, tossing, and balancing acidity.
5. Tabbouleh

Join me, Aida, a professional chef and culinary entrepreneur with over 15 years of experience sharing Palestinian flavors and traditions. In this hands-on cooking class, you’ll explore the fresh, vibrant flavors of Palestinian soups and salads while learning practical skills to recreate these dishes at home. This in-person class is for women only, creating a relaxed and comfortable environment to cook, learn, and connect. The venue is conveniently located just a 5-minute walk from the nearest station, making it easy to reach. For those who cannot attend in person, online classes are available for both women and men, so anyone can join from the comfort of their own kitchen.
Menu & Class Flow:
• Welcome & Introduction (10 minutes): I’ll greet you, introduce the ingredients, and explain the cultural significance of each dish.
• Lentil Soup (Shorbat Adas, 20 minutes): Guests will learn to cook red lentils to perfection, balance spices, and achieve a smooth, creamy texture without cream. Lentil soup is a beloved staple of Palestinian everyday meals.
• Freekeh Soup with Vegetables (20 minutes): Learn to cook smoky roasted green wheat with fresh vegetables and herbs for a hearty, flavorful soup, commonly served during family gatherings.
• Chicken & Vermicelli Soup (Shorbat Dajaj Bil Sh’ariyah, 20 minutes): Practice cooking tender chicken with toasted vermicelli and subtle spices, mastering timing and texture for a light yet satisfying soup.
• Fattoush & Tabbouleh (15 minutes): Guests will chop, toss, and balance acidity and freshness in these classic salads. Fattoush combines crisp vegetables and toasted bread with a tangy sumac-lemon dressing, while Tabbouleh showcases parsley, bulgur, tomatoes, and mint for a bright, refreshing flavor.
