  • Tempura

    Tempura

Tempura (天ぷら) is a classical Portuguese dish brought to and popularized by Japan, consisting of seafood or vegetables that have been battered and deep fried. Tempura is a typical home-style cooking in Japan. It is often referred to as a representative dish to Japan. Although there are various theories, it is said that Tokugawa Ieyasu, the general of the Edo period, liked tempura so much that he allegedly died from eating too much.

This beloved comfort food is a staple in Japan’s home kitchens, and now it’s your turn to master it!

In this hands-on cooking class, you’ll learn how to create that signature crispy, light tempura using fresh ingredients like shrimp, fish, chicken, and seasonal vegetables like mushrooms, sweet potatoes, and eggplant.

Whether you’re a complete beginner or already a seasoned home cook, I’ll guide you through the steps to perfect your tempura technique. Spoiler alert: You’ll surprise yourself with how easy (and fun) it can be!

The Fun Stuff:
Here’s the best part — we’ll cook together! From preparing the ingredients to coating them in that magical batter, you’ll learn how to fry everything to golden perfection.

This is a private experience, so you’ll have my full attention.
