Our Bento Menu

Enjoy a colorful, homemade Japanese bento served in a traditional wooden magewappa lunch box.

1. Teriyaki Chicken or Grilled Salmon
Tender chicken glazed with a sweet and savory soy sauce, or Japanese-style grilled salmon.

2. Spinach with Sesame Dressing (Horenso no Goma-ae)
Fresh spinach tossed with a flavorful sesame dressing.

3. Dried Daikon Radish Salad (Kiriboshi Daikon Salad)
A refreshing salad made with dried Japanese radish and vegetables.

4. Japanese Rolled Omelette (Tamagoyaki)
A soft, slightly sweet rolled omelette, a classic Japanese bento favorite.

5. Bell Peppers with Salted Kombu (Paprika no Shio Kombu-ae)

Vegan Option

A vegan-friendly bento option is also available.

Instead of chicken or fish, we serve Teriyaki Atsuage (Thick Fried Tofu), a delicious Japanese tofu dish glazed with sweet and savory teriyaki sauce.

Other dishes can be adjusted to suit vegan dietary needs. Please let me know in advance if you prefer a vegan meal.

Maki

Hello! I'm Maki, and I live in Saitama, near Tokyo.

I have been running my own small bakery and teaching bread-making classes at home since 2013. Cooking and sharing food with others have always been an important part of my life.

I also lived in New Zealand for a year and a half, where I worked in a café. I love meeting people from different countries and learning about their cultures.

Through my cooking class, I would love to share not only Japanese home cooking but also Japanese culture and everyday life.

Together, we will make a traditional Japanese bento using a beautiful wooden *magewappa* lunch box. I'll introduce you to the Japanese ideas behind bento, such as seasonal ingredients, beautiful presentation, and the care we put into preparing food for others.

For me, cooking is more than just making food. It's a wonderful way to connect with people, share stories, and learn from each other.

I hope you will feel at home, enjoy our time together, and take home special memories of Japan.

I look forward to meeting you!
