【Japanese breakfast】

◆Grilled fish
Grilled fish such as salmon and dried horse mackerel.

◆Dashi-maki-tamago (rolled egg)
Japanese traditional seasoning, dashi is added to omelette.

◆Soaked vegetables
A salad of seasonal vegetables boiled and soaked in dashi broth.

◆Simmered Kiriboshi-daikon
Sun-dried daikon radish is used in this dish.

◆Rice and Miso soup
Traditional Japanese soup made with white rice and miso

    Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

Cooking Class Information

In this class we will make a traditional Japanese breakfast.

The main dish is fish and no alcohol or mirin is used for seasoning, so Muslims can also eat it.

If you wish, we can go shopping together for ingredients, and after the meal you can go sightseeing at Inuyama Castle or a nearby temple.

Hello. I'm Rie. I am a mother with two daughters.
I became a host because I wanted foreigners to eat more Japanese home cooking.
Many of the dishes made here are usually eaten by Japanese people for dinner, and I only make dishes for my family.
Please enjoy the food of the general family instead of the taste of the restaurant!
