【We will make 2 types of sushi】
・ One is hand-rolled sushi (wrapping your favorite ingredients with vinegared rice on seaweed)
・The other is Decorated-sushi rolls (rolling the sushi rolls in the shape of flowers)
・Miso soup
(Tofu and seaweed miso soup make together)

    Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

Cooking Class Information

・We will use a clay pot for rice, and teach you how to wash it, how long to soak it in water, and how long to steam it. You can cook fluffy and delicious rice by using a clay pot.
・When the rice is cooked, add vinegar and let cool.
・Prepare the ingredients for the sushi. Hand-rolled sushi is your favorite ingredients that you can roll into the sushi. For example, salmon and avocado, tuna and fried eggs.
・The other is to make art sushi.
We will roll the sushi rolls like cute flowers.
・We will make miso soup together.

※ 20 minutes for Jiburi Park by car.

I have a car, so I will pick you up at Sabway Meijo line Chayagasaka Station.
My car seats 4 people, so I can carry up to 3 guests.
※If there are more than 3 of you, I will walk to the station to pick you up.
(15 mins walk)
Please leave large luggage such as suitcases in coin lockers at the station.
