Cooking Class Menu

In this hands-on cooking experience, you will enjoy two authentic Japanese traditions: decorative sushi making and matcha. Everything is beginner-friendly and perfect for couples, families, and friends. You will learn how to create a colorful flower-patterned sushi roll, using fresh ingredients and traditional Japanese tools, and practice rolling, shaping, and cutting your sushi beautifully while enjoying plenty of photo time. After the sushi-making, you will experience Japanese matcha by warming the tea bowl, whisking matcha with a bamboo whisk, and enjoying it together with seasonal Japanese sweets. The experience takes place in a cozy Japanese home in a quiet residential area, where you can relax, enjoy warm hospitality, and take photos with views of the seasonal garden. English recipe sheets are included so you can recreate the sushi at home. Free pick-up from Shin-Sapporo Station is available upon request. We look forward to welcoming you and making this a memorable highlight of your trip to Hokkaido.
