Originally built to serve as an experimental nursery, Rinshi No Mori Park has magnificent big trees which date back to 1900. And for the fact that it is a protected forested area, you’ll find various bird species here. If you’re looking to get far away from the hustle and bustle of city life, head to the park. Kids will love the water playground at the park. The best part is that access to the park is free and it is just 10-minutes away from the Musashi Koyama Station.

This is a popular shrine in Tokyo. With a history dating back to almost 1000 years, Shinagawa Shrine is a must-visit. The major highlight is its stairs leading to the shrin, which is quite impressive in its own right. The archway features two dragons carved in the rocks. For those travelers with a flair for history, you may want to visit this historic site, located close to the Shimbamba Station. If you feel like doing something out of the ordinary, say a word of prayers and wish for blessings from the shrine.
It is impossible to see all that Shinagawa has to offer in just one trip. However, with proper planning and help from a local guide, you can explore the most popular sites in the area. This is especially important for those with limited travel time.
