Then, using a variety of prepared sweets and ice cream, you'll create your own original parfait with your favorite decorations.
To complete the experience, you’ll whisk matcha with a bamboo tea whisk (chasen) and enjoy your handmade parfait together with a cup of freshly prepared matcha.
The venue is the kitchen space on the 3rd floor of Cafe Mont Nijo Kawabata, just across the Kamo River, diagonally opposite The Ritz-Carlton, Kyoto. Open the door and head up to the 3rd-floor kitchen space where your cooking experience begins!
As you arrive, instructor Miki will greet you and introduce the experience in a friendly atmosphere.
You'll hear about what we’ll make today – including shiratama mochi, matcha jelly, and how to create your original parfait.
Roll up your sleeves and begin making your delicious parfait components from scratch.
Now it’s time to assemble and decorate your parfait, then enjoy your sweet creation with freshly prepared matcha.
Using a bamboo tea whisk (chasen), you'll learn how to prepare matcha the authentic way.
