airKitchen Featured on TBS’s “Hiruobi” Today! 📺✨
We have some exciting news to share! airKitchen was featured on today’s broadcast of the popular TBS TV program “Hiruobi”!
The show highlighted our “Character Bento (Kyaraben) & Bento Making Classes,” which have become a huge hit among international travelers visiting Japan.
And then, something totally unexpected happened…!
One of the studio guests on the show, travel analyst Kotaro Toriumi, actually interviewed and joined an airKitchen bento class about three years ago! 🍱✨
During the live broadcast, he warmly recalled his past experience and gave airKitchen a fantastic shoutout on air. We were absolutely thrilled!
Who could have guessed that a class experience from three years ago would connect us again on national TV like this? It was truly an unforgettable and heartwarming moment for all of us at airKitchen!

Host Q&A
Q: How long does it usually take to complete a bento?
A: It takes about an hour and a half. We usually start at 11:00 AM and finish around 12:30 PM.
When hosting a larger group, I try to keep things running efficiently so everyone can finish at around the same time. For example, I prepare ingredients beforehand, like taking ham out of its packaging and wrapping it into individual two-slice portions.
Q: Which characters are currently popular, and are you getting more custom requests?
A: Pokémon is extremely popular right now! Beyond just Pikachu, I’ve been receiving more requests for various other Pokémon characters.
I don’t charge any extra fee for special character requests. Trying new characters fuels my own creative passion—I just love the challenge of making them, so I try my best to accept every request!
Q: Have you noticed any recent trends or changes compared to the past?
A: In the past, we mostly welcomed guests from Asian regions like Taiwan, Mainland China, and South Korea. Lately, however, I’ve noticed a significant increase in guests coming from Europe, North America, and Australia.
