Hello, I'm Yuuka.
I live in Kyoto and cook almost every day for my family, friends, and foreign guests. Some of my recipes were taught to me by my grandmother and mother, and some are my own.
I love experiencing different cultures, so I'd like to talk to people from different countries. And I've been practicing calligraphy and tea ceremony since I was little. If you want, you can also experience tea ceremony and calligraphy.
As part of my cooking class, I can also show you around shops and cool tourist spots in Kyoto.
I look forward to meeting you.

★★★★★Our cooking experience with Yuka was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan! She was so kind and encouraging, especially with our two 7-year old children. Her experience as a preschool teacher enhanced her engagement with the children and made it easier for them to join in and make our individual Pikachu-themed bento boxes. We all really loved her personality and found it very easy to chat with her while cooking. We learned how to season and cook fried chicken with Japanese ingredients, cook rolled omelettes shaped into hearts, slice and roll ham into flowers, and use boiled egg yolk to make our rice yellow (and more nutritious!). While cooking, Yuka took lots of photos to ensure there were pictures of everyone taking turns cooking (which she air-dropped to us at the end of the class) and we listened to some music. It was a great vibe! I highly recommend this class, especially for families with younger kids. The Pikachu theme inspired our kids to eat things they normally would not (imitation crab for the rosy cheeks, onigiri with egg and seaweed, and rolled omelette), and we were all so proud of our super cute bento. It was easy to dive in and eat every last bite! We would love to take another class with Yuka next time we’re in Japan. Arigato gozaimasu Yuka!

★★★★★We had an amazing time learning how to cook a Pikachu themed bento box. Yuka is a amazing!!! She is an awesome teacher, so calm and informative and the results we were fantastic. We had young children and they said it was the best part of our trip. They loved it, not only because of the theme and the results, but because of Yuka. If you are in Kyoto, this is an absolute must do activity, you won't be disappointed.

★★★★★We had a wonderful experience with Yuka in our pokemon bento class. Yuka was very warm and friendly and patient. She helped all of the kids get involved in the cooking process, and they practiced cracking eggs, beating eggs, seasoning the meat, and preparing the decorations for the pikachu rice ball. The room where the class was held was also very comfortable and spacious. Yuka's English was excellent, and we had no problem understanding the instructions she gave us. The food we made was also delicious. We all loved it and had a great experience.
