【Takoyaki】
Takoyaki is an essential soul food in Osaka, and is also a communication tool between friends and family. Let's make original takoyaki together, from basic to arranged versions, using various ingredients!!
【Yakisoba 】
Yakisoba is a standard dish when cooking using a hot plate. It is also a must-try dish that always appears at food stalls at Japanese festivals, and its aroma draws in people!
In this cooking class, you will experience making takoyaki from making the batter. The ingredients to put inside will be prepared in advance, but it's up to you to choose what to put inside!! Let's enjoy a takoyaki party [takopa] together with various ingredients and sauces!!
We will also try making [takosen], a very popular menu item at takoyaki shops!!
Also, on the hot plate, you will make traditional yakisoba using the main sauce used for takoyaki, using a large spatula just like at a food stall!!
If you wish, you can enjoy a takoyaki party with draft beer or rare shochu in hand!
YUKIO
Welcome to Ashibina!
Seventeen years ago, our journey began with a chance encounter with the traditional Okinawan instrument, the sanshin. Since then, we’ve grown together with the local community to become the place we are today.
Our name “Ashibina” means “a place to play” in the Okinawan language. Thanks to the love and support of the local people, we are now a beloved spot for many.
Now, we’re excited to offer a brand-new experience where you can enjoy Osaka’s traditional food culture! Through a hands-on Takoyaki-making experience, we invite you to get a closer feel for Japanese culture.
In Osaka, getting together with friends to make Takoyaki is called “Tako-pa,” short for “Takoyaki party.” Come join us for a fun and delicious time—let’s have a Tako-pa together!
