Eiko is such a good teacher and very professional! She wrote paper explanations in English, and also demonstrated the tea ceremony for us. Then she let us practice with imaginary sweets/tea, then with the real thing. We loved learning how to make tamagoyaki, onigiri, and tako-san. She also taught us to arrange our bentos very nicely with her other homemade side dishes. Eiko is very generous; we are thankful to have found a “mom” in Osaka! The cooking class was the clear highlight of our honeymoon in Japan. Highly recommend!!

We booked a Bento Making and Tea Ceremony experience with Eiko and it was great! Eiko is a very kind and good teacher, but also a wonderful host, who makes a lot of effort for her guests to feel most welcome. We enjoyed our experience, learned about Japanese traditions and manners, as well as practised some Japanese cooking. The place is easy to reach from Umeda by train and Eiko kindly meets you at the station. If you are in Osaka, do not hesitate to book one of Eiko's classes!
