You can make one of the Japanese bento, basket bento. Bento is Japanese culture. Children bring their lunches to school. I take it on excursions and parks to eat. You can have the standard menu "fried chicken" and "tamagoyaki" made. I will also explain how to make Japanese soup stock. Add homemade miso to the broth to make miso soup. You can also make Japanese sweets for dessert ,and after eating, you will drink "Matcha". Also, you can actually put "Matcha" in it.
In this cooking class, you will be asked to make a “basket bento”. I'll have you make a rice ball with rice. You will also be asked to make the classic bento menu, "Tamagoyaki'' and "Karaage''. I also make a sauce for Karaage "tartar sauce". Other side dishes change slightly depending on the season. You can also make Japanese sweets for dessert. Finally, I will have you drink "Matcha". You can actually challenge yourself to put in "Matcha".
It is a spring-limited Japanese confectionery. There is strained bean paste inside.
Brew some matcha and drink it

★★★★★Cooking with Keiko was a definite highlight of our vacation. We prepared a bento with karage, hijiki, tamagoyaki and onigiri. Keiko walked us through every step of the process and made the whole experience fun. We then had dango we made from tofu and rice flour with a soy sauce glaze for dessert. Finally Keiko showed us the proper way to prepare matcha. Keiko was a lovely hostess and picked us up from the local subway line, and even gave us some tips on what else to do during our time in Osaka, which we definitely did. Very happy to have learned from Keiko and will be making this at home now!
