Cooking Class Menu

First, you will learn how to make dashi (Japanese soup stock) with kombu and bonito flakes. Using this dashi, we will cook dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelet). We will also prepare a colorful chirashi sushi. The toppings will vary with the season — usually fresh sashimi, but for guests who don’t eat raw fish, we can use grilled eel (unagi).
After cooking, you will experience Japanese calligraphy. With brush and ink, you will create your own writing to take home as a unique memory from Kyoto.

Cooking Class Information
