★★★★★I recently attended the tea ceremony in Mari's house and it was an enchanting experience. The setting was serene, with minimalist decor, tatami mats and soft natural light creating a tranquil ambiance. Mari, dressed in traditional attire, welcomed us warmly and explained the cultural significance of the ceremony. Watching the precise, graceful movements of Mari, as she prepared the tea, was mesmerizing. The tea, served in beautiful handcrafted bowls, had a delicate yet profound taste. Alongside the tea, she offered us a traditional cookie, which perfectly complemented the flavors of the tea. We were given the opportunity to prepare tea ourselves, guided by the host. The conversation we had after the ceremony was reflective and enriching, with Mari sharing insights and answering questions. Overall, the tea ceremony was a beautiful, immersive experience that offered a moment of peace and cultural enrichment. I highly recommend it!

★★★★★My partner and I booked the tea ceremony with Mari-Sama and added on the kimono fitting for an authentic experience, complete with pictures. This was the best experience of our 14 day Japan trip, a perfect way to end the exploration of an amazing cultural endeavour. Mari-Sama’s performance of tea preparation was delightful, and her 20 years of experience in this art was clear. She prepared the tea so professionally, allowed us to ask questions and we even had the chance to attempt the art of tea preparation ourselves! Mari is very skilled and knowledgeable. She made us feel so comfortable and looked-after. The dessert was delicious and the matcha was top quality. Each step has a symbolic meaning and she explained all of this to us. Her tea room is very authentic and beautiful. This is something that will truly enhance your trip to Japan. Having travelled to over 8 prefectures in Japan, this event tied it all together. I cannot thank you enough Mari-Sama, you are a brilliant person and your house is almost as gorgeous as you are. The cost feels inadequate for such an enjoyable time. Mari-Sama even directed us to a shop where we could purchase quality Matcha and tea-wear from right next to her home. Thank you!!! Lots of love and kind regards, Sameer and Michael from England <3

★★★★★I booked the tea ceremony with Mari as a birthday present for my husband who is interested in Sadō (Japanese tea ceremony). It was great and now we definitely want to learn more about this Japanese traditional art. Mari is a very friendly and knowledgable host who taught us a lot of interesting facts about the Japanese tea ceremony and its history. It doesn't matter if you reside in Japan or are visiting this country as a tourist, I would definitely recommend booking this experience!
