# Authentic Sushi & Matcha Experience in a Local Tokyo Home

Enjoy a hands-on Japanese cooking experience in a cozy home setting with a professional Japanese chef.

You’ll make futomaki (rolled sushi) and dashimaki tamago (Japanese rolled omelet)** with step-by-step guidance from the chef. Learn how to roll futomaki with a sushi mat and how to make fluffy dashimaki tamago in a frying pan. Then, enjoy the dishes you made yourself!

After cooking, enjoy a casual matcha experience. Make your own matcha and taste it with traditional Japanese wagashi sweets. There are no complicated tea ceremony rules, so beginners are welcome.

With a small group, you can chat with the chef and ask questions about Japanese food and culture.English support is also available.

【Location & Access】

Just a 2-minute walk from Zoshigaya Station**. Zoshigaya is directly accessible from Shibuya on the Fukutoshin Line. Ikebukuro is also within walking distance.

The classroom is located just a 2-minute walk from Zoshigaya Station on the Tokyo Metro Fukutoshin Line. We will meet you at the building next to Zoshigaya Station and walk to the classroom together, so you can easily find the location even if it’s your first time in the area.

The instructor is a former Japanese chef. After a brief self-introduction, the details of today's lesson will be explained. We will then cover the history and types of sushi rolls. Aprons will be provided, so please come without bringing anything.

Our classroom is located in Zoshigaya, just a few minutes from the bustling Ikebukuro area, easily accessible via the Fukutoshin Line. This neighborhood combines traditional streets with the energy of a vibrant urban environment. The nearest station is just a two-minute walk, and we will personally guide you to the station.

In our classes, you will learn to make ramen, gyoza, sushi rolls, and nigiri sushi. You will also have the opportunity to prepare matcha (powdered green tea) and taste traditional Japanese sweets. We’ll take you to a local supermarket run by a fishmonger, where we’ll introduce you to the seasonings used in the lesson and popular Japanese ingredients. It’s also a great spot to pick up souvenirs. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced cook, we will guide you in mastering authentic Japanese cooking techniques so you can confidently prepare delicious Japanese dishes. Feel free to ask any questions about cooking or Japanese culture during the lesson. We look forward to sharing a fun and engaging experience with you!
