    Nigiri Sushi

    Sushi (寿司, 鮨) is a Japanese dish of specially prepared vinegared rice (鮨飯 sushi-meshi), usually with some sugar and salt, combined with a variety of ingredients (ネタ neta), such as seafood (most commonly and often raw), vegetables, and occasionally tropical fruits. Styles of sushi and its presentation vary widely, but the key ingredient is "sushi rice", also referred to as shari (しゃり), or sumeshi (酢飯).

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

Cooking Class Information

Start by making sushi rice. With a few practices you will be making two kinds of sushi, Nigiri Sushi and Sushi Roll.
Together prepare 2 side dishes and miso soup. Let’s have fun and you will be making your own sushi in no time!

We prepare some recipes for the class and explain about today’s cooking. You can know the ingredients for the dishes and also learn some Japanese.

Cook miso soup and 2 side dishes

At first, we make broth for miso soup. Then cook miso soup and 2 side dishes.

Make sushi !

4. Make sushi !

We’ll teach you the directions to make traditional sushi. After practicing some times and then make 2 kinds of sushi, nigiri sushi and rolled sushi. We make 8 sushi and 2 kinds of rolls in no time!

Eat sushi!!

5. Eat sushi!!

Let’s eat sushi, miso soup and 2 other side dishes! We’ll serve you Japanese green tea. We can prepare some Japanese sake if you want. Please ask us about sake in advance, and you can try sake tasting, too.

When I went to Thailand, I experienced cooking local foods there. It was a really great experience for me and l began to think of teaching Japanese dishes in Tokyo.
I had learned making sushi from a professional sushi chef and now l enjoy teaching foreigners how to make sushi. Please come and join us! You’ll also have a chance to know Japanese sake. If you like, please tell me so in advance.

It was really nice experience than I expected. Biggest surprise was taste of the Sushi. Sushi looks was quite normal but the taste was very good. I thought the taste of the Sushi rice was something special.I will try it at home based on the recipes I got at class!
