Shokado Bento : various dishes are put in the Bento box
like Salmon grilled with Miso and Shiokoji, or Teriyaki chicken, vegetables with sesame seeds,
Japanese salad, Cold Tofu,
Seasoned boiled egg, Eggplant with Miso, Japanese pickles, etc., depending on the seasonal food.
Starting with a 30-minute- market tour, and then after we go to the nice kitchen for cooking.
The short market tour is a guided tour just after meeting in the station on the way to the kitchen. We go through different stores like a fish market, a meat and vegetable sections.
I will gladly show unique Japanese ingredients to foreign visitors.
In cooking classes, I explain the setup and demonstrate cooking. Participants will also have the opportunity to actually cook the dish and then eat it together afterwards.
An English recipe booklet will be provided for you to take home.
Hello, my name is Miho Kondo.
I have been teaching Japanese cooking classes for 10 years at a culture center in Switzerland, where I lived for many years.
Now that I am back in Tokyo, I would like to offer my cooking classes to foreign visitors.
My motto is to explain the cultural background of Japanese food and to demonstrate recipes in a way that is easy to understand and can be done at home back.
Additionally, it includes a short market food tour.
