    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

Cooking Class Information

At our sushi class, we not only offer “sushi making experiences” as part of your Tokyo sightseeing experience, but also “authentic roll sushi lessons” that utilize the instructor’s experience as a sushi chef.

Option 1 - Sushi making experience
Along with making sushi, we will introduce you to the roots and etiquette of sushi. You can learn sushi knowledge and techniques in a fun and systematic way. Perfect for an optional tour for Tokyo sightseeing.

Option 2 - Authentic sushi making lesson
We will teach you carefully selected roll sushi that is popular among people from all over the world, so you can incorporate it into your restaurant’s menu as is.

We believe that what everyone who travels Japan is looking for is to experience authentic Japanese culture.

For this reason, Tokyo Sushi Class not only teach you how to make traditional sushi, but we also play Japanese background music in a room filled with the aroma of dashi to create a relaxing Japanese atmosphere, and use authentic serving plates and other equipment, so that you can experience ‘Japan’ through all five senses.

The venue will change depending on the number of participants, but we can also incorporate live piano, guitar performances or Tsukiji tour if the conditions are right, so please feel free to contact us if you have any requests.

The instructor, a graduate of Kinki University's Fisheries Department, the first in the world to successfully cultivate bluefin tuna, will share trivia about fish and sushi based on his expertise in fisheries science. In addition, the instructor is also a graduate of Japan's most famous sushi school, the Tokyo Sushi Academy, so he can teach you how to make traditional Edomae sushi. Enjoy learning about real sushi techniques and fish trivia in a fun way.
