from Shin-Osaka (新大阪) station
(maximum 4 people for free pick-up)
---Shin-Osaka Station (新大阪駅) is a one of several major train stations servicing Osaka. Don’t confuse with Osaka Station. Shin-Osaka Station is the terminus for both the Tokaido Shinkansen – running east to Kyoto, Nagoya and Tokyo – and the Sanyo Shinkansen – running west to Okayama, Hiroshima and onto Hakata.
Gyoza are fried dumplings with vegetables and meat ingredients in a flour wrapper.
In my class, we will make this flour wrapper from scratch so that you can make it again when you return home.
My Gyoza is crispy outside and juicy inside!
You will also have an opportunity to experience to make DASHIMAKI TAMAGO (japanese omelette).
Miso-soup and white rice are also included in the menu, so the volume should be enough for lunch.
The class takes place in my kitchen. My house is located in a quiet residential area in Suita city. Suita city is a neighbor city of Osaka city. You will jump out from the ordinary sightseeing spots and see the real local life in Japan.
Only ladies and couples are welcome in my class. Kids are also very welcome!
MENU:
- GYOZA (japanese dumplings)
- DASHIMAKI-TAMAGO (Japanese omelette)
- RICE
- MISO SOUP
Starting time - 10:00 (meeting at the station)
Finishing time - 13:30
(Class is only for lunch time.
Dinner time class is not available.)

★★★★★ (18)Hi, I'm Naomi.
I love to communicate with people around the world.
Nowadays, Japanese foods are getting more popular and being accepted widely in other countries out of Japan. Why don't you enjoy making some Japanese foods on your own at home? I will introduce my home recipes. Let's cook and enjoy lunch together. It will make your Osaka trip more precious and memorable.
We can set up the meeting point at Shin-Osaka station. I will pick you up there. It takes only about 10-15 minutes to my home.
Shin-Osaka Station
Shin-Osaka Station is an important transportation hub in the Osaka metropolitan area. Here you can connect with the Subway Midosuji Line, which is the main line running north to south of the Osaka city subway network. It is also the terminus of two high-speed shinkansen lines, the Tokaido Shinkansen line from Tokyo, and the Sanyo Shinkansen line from Fukuoka in Kyushu.
Why don't you take my cooking class on the way to your next destination or back to home?

★★★★★We would have appreciated Naomi suggesting that we take some of the leftovers, as there was plenty. However, we thoroughly enjoyed our time cooking with her. She is not only skilled but also a very kind person. She even assisted us in making a phone call. Additionally, the food was amazing.

★★★★★We (2 couples) had a great time in Naomi’s kitchen recently. We learnt to make gyozas and a rolled egg omelette. Lunch was then a feast as we ate our efforts as well as Mizo and rice. Naomi then added a delicious dessert which finished off the lunch beautifully. Thank you Naomi for a terrific experience . I would recommend a visit to your lovely home to learn a new skill to anyone who has a keen interest in Japanese cooking. Esther

★★★★★It was a very nice and informative cooking class! The meeting point was very well described and arranged and it was pleasant to include this transport to and from the cooking class. Naomi prepared the class very well and we had a lot of interaction in the actual preparation of the dishes. It was a very interesting opportunity to get a glimpse of the "normal" Japanese household and surroundings. Due to this course we bought a couple of kitchen utensils (rolling pin, etc.) which are very useful and which we cannot get in our country. Naomi was a very friendly instructor and explained everything very well and answered also other questions we had about general cooking and living in Japan. Of course, the star of the cooking class was Naomi`s adorable little dog :-) We recommend the class!

★★★★★Our time with Naomi was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Naomi was very welcoming and informative. She speaks excellent English and we had no trouble communicating with her. We would absolutely recommend this class, not only do you learn how to cook a fabulous traditional meal but you get completely immersed in local culture. You get a glimpse into a Japanese home and kitchen, you will use traditional Japanese methods and tools, there is no better way to see how the locals live and cook. We had a blast with Naomi, she was fun, friendly, and bubbly, she was informative about Osaka, local sights/attractions, and gave us recommendations for other things to do while in town. Thank you Naomi for a lifetime memory. Everyone should take this class!!!

★★★★★The cooking class with Naomi was totally great. It was our first time taking part at a class of air kitchen and we are looking forward taking classes in other countries now. Naomi picked us up at Shin-Osaka with her car and took us to her home. She had everything prepared already so we could immediately start cooking. She also bought vegetables to make vegetarian Gyoza because one of us was vegetarian. For our meal Naomi had already prepared a Miso Soup, Rice and a Dessert. And we also cooked a Japanese Omelett. She explained evertything very good so we are absolutly able to cook Gyoza at home too. Her English was very good. We had a really good afternoon and learned a lot about Japanese culture and their Food.
