Making Japanese sweets
We have different kinds of WAGASHI.
“Nerikiri” “Gyuhi” “Manju”and so on.
We will make Japanese sweets, depending on the season.
Most of the WAGASHI are vegan & gluten free.
I have been teaching my regular “Making Japanese sweets class “ since 2009.
l have “Japanese sweets workshop”(@kichijyoji , Tokyo) since 2022.
My Japanese sweets students had lot of fun making sweets every time and my tea ceremony students are always looking forward to eating the sweets.
My students always make individual WAGASHI.
It’s so fun.
I’m flexible with the date & time.
First, you reserve open day, then we chat each other to decide the date & time.
If you have any concerns, please feel free to ask me.
Let’s make Japanese sweets together.
WAGASHI means Japanese sweets.
WAGASHI is traditional Japanese sweets.
When I make WAGASHI , I always follow the season.
Making WAGASHI is so fun!!
Looks cute!!
Taste good!!
One guest makes 5 pieces of WAGASH then eat 1 piece together.
You can take 4 pieces of WAGASH back to home.
After making WAGASH we eat it together with Macha.(Green Tea)
I will make green tea for you.
•You don’t need to bring anything.
•It takes for 1 hour & half to make them, then eat 1 piece with Matcha together.
Total time,it takes about for 2 hours.
If you want to try mixing matcha & being the guest of Japanese tea ceremony (looking procedure demonstration), I have 2 another classes.
Please check them!!

Hello I’m Ikuyo Kono
“About my place”
It takes about 30mins from”Shibuya” & center of “Yokohama”.
It’s not so far from center of Tokyo and train access is convenient.
Also my place is so calm & quiet ,not like center of Tokyo, so you can relax here.
(Our place is near “Ramen Museum” in Yokohama.
,it takes about 15 minutes by subway.)
“About me”
I’m from Nara prefecture.
I have been learning Japanese tea ceremony for more than 40 years.
I started to teach tea ceremony since 2007.
My grandmother & my mother are also teachers.
I learned tea ceremony in Kyoto & Nara for 10 years.
Kyoto is the first place of Japanese tea
ceremony, so I have many good experiences in Kyoto & Nara.
I lived in Boston since 2004 to 2006 with my family.
I showed the tea ceremony to American people in Boston.
After I came back to Japan, I’ve always wanted to have international communication with foreign people though the Japanese culture.
I hope you can get some valuable experience here.
I have 2 little dogs, but they stay in their space., so they can’t come to us.
I also have regular lessons for foreign residents.
After trial tea ceremony,if you are interested in that, please let me know.
I like making Japanese sweets & wearing kimono.
I also have “Making Japanese sweets”
class & “Combination classes”.
In my class, you can learn about many Japanese cultures!!
I’m looking forward to having guests.
If you have any requests about the starting time, feel free to ask me.
My times are flexible sometimes.
I’m looking forward to seeing you!!
P.S.
I’m from Nara prefecture, there is a really huge Buddha inside in a Toudaiji temple in Nara.
When you visit Nara I recommend you to see huge Buddha and see deers.
