The teriyaki chicken sauce is a sweet sauce made with soy sauce that everyone loves, from children to adults.

Dashimaki Tamago is a type of Japanese rolled omelette that has a wonderful aroma of dashi soup stock,a dish loved by many but also considered difficult to prepare. But,don’t worry.It’ll be easy once you get the hang of it!

Nikujaga is a dish made by stewing potatoes and meat. It is very popular dish at Izakaya and home.

What’s your favorite rice ball filling? Please shape the rice into a triangle with your favorite filling.

Tofu miso soup is a typical Japanese miso soup.

After your meal, Let’s enjoy green tea and Japanese sweets.

If you would like vegetarian, vegan, or halal food, I will be happy to change the menu. Please let me know in advance what foods you are not comfortable with or cannot eat.

    Onigiri is a Japanese comfort food made from steamed rice formed into the typical triangular, ball, or cylinder shapes and usually wrapped with nori(dried seaweed). Stuffed with a a variety of fillings and flavors, these rice balls make an ideal quick snack and are a fun alternative to sandwitches for lunch.

    Nikujaga

    Nikujaga literally means “meat and potatoes”, from two of the main ingredients niku (meat) and jagaimo (potatoes). It’s a comfort food for the Japanese and it is a very popular meal cooked at home. It is often considered “mother’s cooking” (“ofukuro no aji” おふくろの味 in Japanese) as each household cooks it just slightly different. The food itself is very simple and homely, and the warm bowl of your mother’s nikujaga brings one back to their roots. It is probably the most popular dish among all kinds of nimono (煮物 Japanese stewed dishes).

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

    Green Tea

    The astringent constituent in Japanese tea is a type of polyphenol called catechin. Japan has done a great deal with the humble tea leaf. For example some benefits of the catechin in the tea leaf can lower cholesterol in some cases. Roasted over charcoal at a high temperature and grown under shade for at least 20 days are one of the examples. The most popular Japanese tea might be ryokucha. Depending on the timing of picking the leaves, the grade, the price can be noticeably different.

Cooking Class Information

Teriyaki chicken sauce goes well with fish or pork, so you can use it at your house too, so let's actually make it together.

Choose your favorite ingredients to make onigiri. There may be some ingredients that are new to you, but give it a try.

Dashimaki Tamago is baked in a square pan. It may be difficult at first, but slowly get the hang of it and bake it.

Other dishes are prepared here. Let's put them on a tray and eat them like a Japanese set meal!
