  • Nigiri Sushi

    Nigiri Sushi

Sushi (寿司, 鮨) is a Japanese dish of specially prepared vinegared rice (鮨飯 sushi-meshi), usually with some sugar and salt, combined with a variety of ingredients (ネタ neta), such as seafood (most commonly and often raw), vegetables, and occasionally tropical fruits. Styles of sushi and its presentation vary widely, but the key ingredient is "sushi rice", also referred to as shari (しゃり), or sumeshi (酢飯).

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

  • Green Tea

    Green Tea

The astringent constituent in Japanese tea is a type of polyphenol called catechin. Japan has done a great deal with the humble tea leaf. For example some benefits of the catechin in the tea leaf can lower cholesterol in some cases. Roasted over charcoal at a high temperature and grown under shade for at least 20 days are one of the examples. The most popular Japanese tea might be ryokucha. Depending on the timing of picking the leaves, the grade, the price can be noticeably different.

Cooking Class Information

Sushi, as you know, is the most popular and famous Japanese food.
You should have eaten sushi at a Japanese restaurant. If you like sushi, you should take this class. You will be able to make sushi yourself by learning how to make sushi in this class.

We will make three most popular types of sushi in this class. First, you actually make vinegar rice for sushi from scratch. Then, you can learn how to cut fish by yourself. Finally, you will shape your sushi. It is actually difficult to shape sushi, so I will give you some tips to make it better.

We can also cook Japanese omelet called Tamagoyaki, and Japanese traditional miso soup.

I’m looking forward to seeing you in Tokyo!

While working as a film producer at 6pucks, I started a food and beverage service for inbound tourism to tackle the problem of food self-sufficiency of Japan.
It is a gastronomic learning and flavorful experience through eating well cooked and delicious food made with safe, sustainable and great quality ingredients.
I would like to introduce Japanese safe ingredients to the world.
