This is perhaps one of the most interesting attractions in all of Shinjuku.
Although much of this area in Japan is covered with modern skyscrapers, the Hanazono Shrine acts as a reminder of Japan’s traditional history and legacy.
Situated in a very urbanized part of Shinjuku, with skyscrapers just a stone’s throw away, is a bright red shrine with elements reminding everyone of Japan’s traditional legacy.
In addition to this, the shrine’s grounds are a great escape where one can seek rest and relaxation, as well as enjoy a temporary flea market which operates on Sundays.

2. Enjoy Tokyo’s Skyline at Shinjuku Central Park

There are numerous amazing temples all across Tokyo. Out of the many, the Taisoji temple happens to be one of the most fantastic and amazing.
Situated along a small street, one can find the Taisoj temple.
There are several things of interest here. To begin with, the temple houses numerous cats, which have become an attraction among themselves, with tourists using every opportunity to go about feeding them. In summers, there is a festival held here, which features traditional dancing around Obon.
As for the big Buddha, it is located just in front of the temple entrance, and makes for a very interesting attraction and curiosity unto itself.

Situated next to the popular Hanazono shrine, a major attraction unto itself is one of the narrowest streets in all of Tokyo.
Spanning this entire stretch are some of the best bars and pubs you can find in Shinjuku.
The place is essentially a haunt for drinking enthusiasts, as well as those who would like a more hands on experience of the hidden part of Tokyo.

In addition to this, it should be noted that there are many more amazing places to check out, when you drop by at Shinjuku.
Feel free to roam about in this beautiful part of Tokyo, and get ready to be astounded by the many other wonders that it has to offer.
