My concept is "I want people to know the real taste." Even for home-cooked meals in Kyoto, it takes time to prepare the soup stock.
Nice to meet you♡
My name is Yuko.

Since my son was a junior high school student, I taught international students how to cook as a host family, and in 2007 I started holding cooking classes at my home.

The international students who came to our home,
Since I started giving priority to Japanese-style dashi, which is the basics of Kyoto cuisine, I have been teaching lessons based on cooking using dashi.

I would like everyone to learn about Japanese home cooking and the wonderful culture of Japan.

    Rice

Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.

Cooking Class Information

Lately, yakisoba has come in a variety of flavors, including curry and salt flavors in addition to sauce flavors.
This time, I'd like to introduce a class where you can make salt-yakisoba together.
Indian Yakisoba (Curry Yakisoba) is also held in another of my classes.

We also hold classes on dashi, rolled Chinese noodles, Kyoto-style tandan noodles, etc.

If you just buy yakisoba noodles, it's easy to make with the vegetables you have in the fridge and it's reasonably priced.
❤️

I will make it with salt yakisoba.

About Host

I was born and grew up in Kyoto.
I would like you to taste the taste of vegetables and rice which are harvested in this place.

I believe that Japanese food should be casual and daily food. So I want to cook with the japanese dish whichi is focused on the taste od the material itself, harvested for local cconsumption and healthy for your body.
