Cooking Class Menu

1. Sushi
Sushi is a famous Japanese dish with vinegared rice, sugar, and salt.
In my class, you can make Temari sushi, which is cute, delicious, and Instagrammable! 

2. Miso soup
We start our day with a healthy bowl of miso soup, a nutritious dish made with tofu, seaweed, fried chicken, and red miso.

3. Japanese omelet 
Tamagoyaki is a Japanese rolled omelet that makes a delightful breakfast or side dish for bento lunches.

  • Rice

    Rice

    Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

In this cooking class, we can cook Sushi together!
#Sushi
1. Adding sushi vinegar to the mix
Add sushi vinegar to the rice, mix it well, and let it cool until the sushi vinegar is wholly combined with the other ingredients.
2. Molding the Sushi
Spread the wrap, place the sashimi(fresh low fish) on it, and add a spoonful of vinegared rice. Then, squeeze the wrap to shape it.
3. Serving
When shaping with plastic wrap, try to squeeze gently without exerting force. When the shape is round and beautiful, it is complete. Then, add wasabi to your liking.

#Miso soup
1. Make the dashi soup. Rinse the kombu, place it in a medium pot with the water, and gently simmer over low heat.
2. Rehydrate the wakame.
Place it in a medium bowl and cover it with warm water. Set it aside for 5 minutes. You won’t believe how much it grows!
3. Add the miso paste.
When the dashi is ready, you can add the miso paste.
4: Add the tofu, green onions, and wakame.

#Japanese rolled omelet
1. Heat the pan thoroughly and prepare the egg mixture.
2. Pour a thin layer of egg mixture into the pan and pop the air bubbles.
3. Roll from the far side of the pan toward the end closer to you.
