Sushi is undoubtedly one of Japan's most iconic dishes. While many people associate sushi with dining out at restaurants, it can actually be easily and deliciously made at home. With its vibrant colors and beautiful presentation, sushi is perfect for home parties and entertaining guests!
I'm sure many of you are already familiar with miso soup, but in this class, we will be making it from scratch by starting with the preparation of dashi (Japanese soup stock). Once you've mastered the art of making dashi, you'll be able to use it not only in miso soup but in a wide variety of Japanese dishes.
In this class, you'll learn how to make dashi (soup stock) for miso soup. Once you master making dashi, you can use it not only for miso soup but also in a variety of other Japanese dishes!
Temari-sushi uses a special type of rice called "sushi rice," which is prepared with sushi vinegar. The key to great sushi is in the sushi rice, so we'll carefully go through each step: making the sushi vinegar, and preparing the sushi rice. Once the sushi rice is ready, you can decorate it with your favorite ingredients to create your own unique and delicious sushi!
