Cooking Class Menu

○ California Roll
Place vinegared rice on nori seaweed, sprinkle sesame seeds and flip over. Place salmon, avocado, cucumber, crab sticks and mayonnaise on the nori and roll with a sushi mat.

○ Seafood Roll Sushi
Place vinegared rice on nori seaweed, then place tuna, omelette, cucumber and crab sticks and roll with a sushi mat.


◯Please choose Tempura or Karaage(Japanese Fried Chicken)
◯Vegetarian can choose tempura.
○ Tempura
Dip seasonal vegetables and big prawns in batter made from wheat flour and deep fry. Recommended vegetables are lotus root, sweet potato, broccoli, pumpkin, mushroom and eggplant.
○Karaage
Karaage is Japanese taste fried chicken. Season chicken thighs with soysauce, potato starch, garlic, ginger and my secret seasoning etc..and deep fry in oil. You can't stop eating my fried chicken once you srart !

○ Spinach with Sesame Dressing
Add soy sauce, sugar and dashi to ground sesame to make a dressing. Mix with boiled spinach.

○ Miso Soup
Miso soup is a traditional food that has been eaten in Japan for a long time. Stock is made with bonito flakes and kelp, and ingredients such as tofu are added, and miso is added and dissolved at the end.

◯Dessert
I will serve homemade coffee jelly to my guests. This dessert is found only in Japan. Please enjoy!

    Tempura (天ぷら) is a classical Portuguese dish brought to and popularized by Japan, consisting of seafood or vegetables that have been battered and deep fried. Tempura is a typical home-style cooking in Japan. It is often referred to as a representative dish to Japan. Although there are various theories, it is said that Tokugawa Ieyasu, the general of the Edo period, liked tempura so much that he allegedly died from eating too much.

  • Karaage

    Karaage

    Japanese fried chicken, karaage is made by marinating bite-size pieces of chicken in sake, soy sauce, ginger and garlic before coating them generously with potato starch. When fried, the starch turns into an ultra crispy shell encasing a flavorful juicy bite of chicken. Absolutely great with beer.

    Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.

  • Miso Soup

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

Cooking Class Information

As a qualified chef,I can teach beginner cooks in an easy-to-understand and detailed way.
And also this class is taught in English.
In this class, we will make every dish from scratch and start by making miso soup stock. Enjoy the taste of authentic stock made with bonito flakes and kelp.
Together, we will cut the vegetables and shrimp ingredients and make miso soup, appetizers, sushi, and tempura or Karaage in that order. We will make two types of sushi, Seafood roll sushi and California roll sushi, so you can enjoy two different flavors. Each group will share and eat.
Tempura uses seasonal vegetables and big prawns. For example lotus root, sweet potato, pumpkin and broccoli etc... To make the tempura crispy, we will teach you easy cooking methods and techniques.
A taste of freshly prepared, delicious tempura!I will give you my recipes so you can make it in your own home.

Hello!I am Ryoko. There's 4 people in my family, alongside 2 Dalmatians.
I opened my cooking class in December 2024.
When I was 19, I got a chef license after I graduated culinary school, afterwards I went to the US for English study for a year .I am a housewife but my children have become adults,so I am starting a new chapter in my life. I like meeting new people and leaning about new culture so I am very excited to have you as my guest.

○Resevations are accepted for 2 people to 8 people.
○It takes 5 minutes on foot my nearest Nishigahara 4-chome station on the Tokyo Sakura Tram. You can easily come to there from Otuka station on the Yamanote Line or Oji station on the Keihin-Tohoku Line.
○While cooking, there is a dog but while eating I will take dog to dogs cage.
