★★★★★Our experience in making soba and practicing calligraphy with Hiro was really memorable! He is very kind, and a great teacher too. His place was modern and beautifully kept. We came out of it with soba-making and calligraphy-writing skills, and a new friend in Osaka! Thanks Hiro for hosting and teaching us! ☺️

★★★★★We loved our soba making experience with Hiro. His studio is truly incredible- clean, modern, spacious and authentically Japanese. The studio is a short walk from a train stop and he was kind enough to meet us there so and guide us so we didn’t get lost. Soba is a very complex noodle to make but Hiro made us feel like we were pros. We listened to Beatles instrumental music while cooking which was very pleasant. After making the noodles, Hiro presented us with lunch- green tea, soba (eaten cold) and a dashi dipping sauce. We ate upstairs in a very serene setting. He then taught us calligraphy which was an unexpected surprise and sent us off with a few sweet Japanese treats. I also appreciated that he offered to take lots of photos and videos for us so that we could remember this day forever. Thanks for an incredible day Hiro!
