★★★★★Machiko's Ramen and Gyoza lesson told me just what I wanted to learn: how to make good home cooked ramen and gyoza with simple recipes I can replicate at home. In addition, it was a delight to chat with Machiko over dinner! She is a very personable host and has excellent English!

★★★★★Machiko was a nice cooking teacher. We first met at the entrance of Fushimi Station of kintetsu line (there's only one entrance). Then we went to the market located close to her place for shopping. At her place we had a nice cooking experience, there's a lot of practice so you can do it at home and the two meals were very yummy. Thank you Machiko for your cooking lesson, I'll practice at home now.

★★★★★We came to Machiko with no expectations & were absolutely blown away by her hospitality. She is exceptionally friendly, speaks really good English & had us laughing all night. Communication about meeting was clear, she picked us up from the station & took us to the market to pick up drinks to have with dinner (where she gave us great recommendations). She then welcomed us into her home & showed us how to make gyoza’s. This was very interactive & quite fun! Also very very tasty! We then watched & helped make the Teriyaki chicken ramen which was totemo oishi. She treated us to an additional tea ceremony & sweet matcha cake & walked us back to the station & assisted with train tickets. She just all round made us feel very welcomed & made for such an enjoyable evening, we can’t wipe the smile off our faces. We would both highly recommend Machiko for a night out in Kyoto. Thanks again! (Or as Mason says, Ta!)

★★★★★AirKitchen with Machiko is like cooking with your family. Machiko will meet you at the station. She will take you to the market to select your beverage of choice. We opted for beer and sake - both recommendations of Machiko. You will then be welcomed into her beautiful home where you will assist her in cooking. We made ramen and gyoza while enjoying Machiko’s company and conversation. We laughed the entire time! The meal was some of the best food we have enjoyed while in Japan at a very reasonable price. Machiko was a wonderful host. She taught us about Japanese tea, traditions and cooking all while making us laugh. We highly recommend meeting and cooking with Machiko!! Thank you for a wonderful evening.
