Konnichiwa! I’m Nariko and I offer Japanese cooking classes out of "Nariko’s Kitchen".
Insta: narikos_kitchen

I was a child who always liked to help my mother in the kitchen. I gained more interest on cooking when I lived abroad as a Japanese language teacher and had a chance to do cooking sessions as part of my job. I taught Japanese cooking in Malaysia as a cooking instructor and conducted classes for individuals and companies, and also gave cooking demonstration at cultural events. After coming back to Japan, I started my own cooking class in Tokyo in 2019. The next year I was nominated for best activities and tours in Japan 2020 by Tripadvisor.

Come join me and try a hands-on cooking class offered in a Japanese home!

I also have other classes below:
・Ramen & Gyoza
・Handmade Udon & Tempura

Our Ramen and Gyoza cooking class with Nariko was fantastic! She met us at a nearby train stop and walked us over to a beautiful flat. Nariko was very hospitable and guided us perfectly through the entire cooking class. The Ramen, Gyoza, and cucumber side dish were all amazing! Not only learned how to make these items, but learn some cooking techniques along the way. Thanks Nariko for a great class!

Our cooking class with Nariko has been our favorite experience thus far during our time in Japan. Not only were the other guests friendly and fun to cook with, but Nariko was so lovely and welcoming, we felt right at home. The food portions definitely made for the perfect feast. Nariko was extremely generous, and went above and beyond in letting us try her sweets and plum wine, and in sending us the recipes after the class. Our favorite part was just chatting and getting to know Nariko. We are SO happy we partook in this experience of a lifetime, and that we were able to meet Nariko and the other guests.

We had a very fun and delicious time at Narikos Ramen and Gyoza cooking class. You learn how to cook traditional Ramen and Gyoza from scratch, including the dough for Gyoza and the broth for the ramen. On top we learned how to make a cucumber salad. Nariko speaks perfect english, better than we did, and answered all our questions, not just about the food but also about japanese lifestyle and language. On top she is a super interesting, kind and open person who gives you the feeling of knowing each other for longer than three hours. We had a super fun time, laughed and learned a lot and enjoyed our first self cooked japanese diner. We can recommend Narikos cooking class 100% Thank you Nariko for this wonderful evening!

Nariko is a Japanese language teacher, so her English is excellent. I attended the Udon & Tempura class, which was super delicious. She was very friendly and helped us if we needed it. Her instructions were clear and the work was actually a lot of fun. Would definitely recommend it if you want to learn some great local recipes. I'll be going back again for another class next time I'm here!

We had a great time at Nariko’s class. The end result was delicious, she gave clear instructions, and preparation freedom. Nariko was flexible with last minute and constraining planning, which was appreciated and unexpected. Great overall cooking experience in Japan! Recommended to anyone passing by Tokyo.
