    Ramen

    Ramen is a noodle soup dish and perhaps one of the most popular Japanese dishes. There are many flavours of ramen, such as Shoyu (soy sauce) ramen, Miso ramen, Tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen and so on. Common toppings are Chashu (braised pork), Negi (green onion) and Nori (dried seaweed).

    Gyoza

    Gyoza is a dumpling using wrapping thing dough to hold the inner ingredients. Most commonly, minced pork, cabbage, Garlic and Leek. The origin of Gyoza is from China but it has evolved uniquely in Japan and now quite different from the Chinese one.

  • Onigiri

    Onigiri

    Onigiri is a Japanese comfort food made from steamed rice formed into the typical triangular, ball, or cylinder shapes and usually wrapped with nori(dried seaweed). Stuffed with a a variety of fillings and flavors, these rice balls make an ideal quick snack and are a fun alternative to sandwitches for lunch.

Cooking Class Information

In this class, you will make vegan ramen, vegan gyoza, and onigiri.
● Vegan ramen: Dashi: Noodles are placed in a soup made from kombu and dried shiitake mushrooms, seasoned with soy milk and miso, a Japanese fermented food. Garnished with plenty of vegetables and seasoned fried tofu, and topped with chili oil to taste. Customers who wish to eat gluten-free can change to rice noodles.
● Vegan gyoza (hands-on): Vegetables and fried tofu are wrapped in a wheat flour skin and grilled on both sides. A very popular menu item that goes perfectly with beer. Customers who wish to eat gluten-free can change to rice flour gyoza skin.
● Onigiri (hands-on): A representative Japanese snack made by putting your favorite grilled salmon, pickled plums, and pickles inside deliciously cooked Japanese rice. Sprinkle your favorite furikake on the outside and wrap it in crispy nori seaweed to eat.
