・4 pieces of nigiri sushi
・1 thin rolled sushi
・1 uramaki(California roll)
・Miso soup
・Small dessert
・Japanese tea and water
We will cook three types of sushi, like nigiri sushi and Japanese rolled sushi, uramaki, and miso soup. Firstly, I will show you how to make sushi rice and “dashi” which is a traditional Japanese soup stock made from mushroom and seaweed. After that, we will make sushi and miso soup. Finally, we will eat all dishes together after finishing cooking.
What to expect
・Understand basic Japanese cooking methods and ingredients
・Learn how to prepare all the ingredients to make sushi like making sushi rice and beautiful vegetable cutting way
・Make 3 types of sushi by yourself
・Learn how to make dashi broth and miso soup
My lessons are not only about watching demonstrations but also putting them into practice as I want to give you enough information to help you cook them again when you return home. Moreover, I can suggest which ingredients are better to use instead of Japanese ones since I struggled to get them while living in abroad.

Hi, I am Saeko. I run my own cooking studio and work as a professional food stylist and a recipe creator for 3 years. I was born and raised in Osaka. I used to work as a Japanese chef in Denmark and traveled to over 20 countries. Living abroad, I get to experience cooking and teach my foreign friends how to cook Japanese foods. It was very enjoyable. And, I am really passionate about exploring or discovering food and learning the ways of cooking. I would like to share my cooking knowledge and skills with everyone from all over the world!
