Kawaii!! Character Bento
Bento means Japanese-style packed lunch. In Japan we usually bring a Bento box to school or work. Each family has a different style so sometimes we swap food from each others' bento and enjoy a different taste from their home. Making bento is usually the work of the mother in Japan and some moms struggle to have their children eat their food. So they created cute bento decorative motifs using popular cartoon or animal characters.
In this class, we will make this "kawaii" (cute) bento. It is not only for children but for adults too!

I was a child who always liked to help my mother in the kitchen. I gained more interest in cooking when I lived abroad as a Japanese language teacher and had a chance to do cooking sessions as part of my job. I took some cooking courses in Japan, and I taught Japanese cooking in Malaysia as a cooking instructor for individuals and companies, and also gave cooking demonstrations at cultural events. After returning to Japan in 2019, I started my own cooking class in Tokyo. Now I moved to Kyoto.

Please go to Matsugasaki Station which takes 20 mins from Kyoto Station. Then Nariko (host) will pick you up there!
