This is the introduction of Japanese sushi cooking. We will make fat sushi rolls and nigiri in this experience. We will learn ingredients, slicing sashimi, grating fresh wasabi, and kinds of sushi cooking tools we will use. For miso soup making, we will learn how to make Japanese broth, it is called “dashi” in Japanese. Learning the ingredients and how to make it. And, learn what umami is, and where it comes from. This class is not just about food or cooking. Classes always talk about the history of the specific food history and learn how to eat, learn Japanese table manners, and how to eat property.
