Let's cook Vegan Japanese Cuisine together! English recipe included.

・Round shaped Vegan Sushi or Onigiri(Rice balls)

・Vegan Gyoza or Fried Spring rolls
Gyoza is Japanese dumplings. Using fried tofu instead of meat, we make tasty vegan Gyoza or Spring rolls.

Use Konbu or dried mashrooms, vegitables to make stock.Put seasonal vegitable and tofu and homemade miso!

    Gyoza

    Gyoza is a dumpling using wrapping thing dough to hold the inner ingredients. Most commonly, minced pork, cabbage, Garlic and Leek. The origin of Gyoza is from China but it has evolved uniquely in Japan and now quite different from the Chinese one.

    Onigiri is a Japanese comfort food made from steamed rice formed into the typical triangular, ball, or cylinder shapes and usually wrapped with nori(dried seaweed). Stuffed with a a variety of fillings and flavors, these rice balls make an ideal quick snack and are a fun alternative to sandwitches for lunch.

    Miso Soup

    Miso soup is a traditional Japanese soup. It's base is "dashi" (Japanese fish stock) and Miso paste. Common added ingredients are Tofu, Green onion and deep‐fried tofu but differs by personal preference. The type of miso is different from region. In western and Easter Japan white miso is mostly used.

Cooking Class Information

First Japanese organic roast tea (decaf) will be served,and we introduce each other in a relaxed mood.Menus of the day will be explained,and we start cooking! First we make Round Shaped Sushi or Onigiri(rice balls) using vegan ingredients,and then we make Miso soup with vegitable stock and home made miso.And we cook our main dish Gyoza or Spring rolls! After cutting fried tofu and vegitables, we wrap them with dumpling wrapper,and fry them in a pan.Some other recipes of dishes will be shared.
