Let's make sushi rolls with local ingredients. We have a variety of fresh fish from the local ocean and fresh seasonal vegetables grown in our farm.
we will make 2 types of
① kaisen maki (sushi roll with assorted seafood)
② inaka maki (traditional sushi roll with vegetables and tofu)
In this cooking class, we make sushi rolls together!
We first prepare the sushi rice. Then we will show you how to lprepare each fillings.
Take your sheet of nori (dried seaweed) ,spread the sushi rice over the sheet of nori with rice spatula. Place seasonal fish vegetables and herbs on the rice. Then we will show you how to roll beautifully.

I love fermented foods. I usually cook with homemade fermented seasonings. I give classes on how to make Japanese fermented seasonings such as miso( fermented soybeans), kimchi (pickled vegetables with chili) and miki (probiotic drink made from rice and sweet potatoes. I also share recipes using these Japanese seasonings.
Eating fermented food is a good habit to maintain your intestine in good condition and the best thing is it’s soooo delicious! I try to use organic ingredients as much as possible. Let’s enjoy Hakko ( fermentation) life together and stay healthy and happy:-)
