We will meet in front of Arashiyama Station on the Hankyu Line which is just 25 mins away from Kyoto station.
Upon arrival at the home, you will first be given a cup of green tea to relax and then a brief introduction to the cooking class.
You will make two types of ramen: soy sauce soup and miso soup. You will listen to an explanation of how the soup is made and then actually boil the noodles. To finish, you will add toppings to make it look delicious.
The ingredients are cut and mixed to make the gyoza filling, which is then wrapped in gyoza skin and steamed on a hot plate.
Let's eat ramen and gyoza! This combination is extremely popular among young people in Japan. Please feel free to contact us about not only food but also recommended spots in Kyoto and souvenirs.
In our workshops, you will learn the traditional home-style cooking that Japanese people eat on a daily basis in the natural setting of Arashiyama, Kyoto. We use fresh local vegetables and provide recipes that are easy to reproduce. A husband with 25 years of experience as a chef and a wife who loves nature and vegetables will support you carefully and with an emphasis on eco-friendly and sustainable living.
