We will make these together:
・Gyoza( Japanese dumpling)
・Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelet)
・Onigiri (Japanese rice balls)
And I will prepare Miso soup for you.
This is not just a cooking class...an experience around the table.
Welcome to Y's Kitchen.
We will share a warm and memorable moment together!
We will start by preparing the filling from scratch using ground meat, fresh vegetables, garlic, and ginger. As we mix and taste, I will show you how Japanese families balance flavors at home. Then comes the fun part — wrapping each gyoza by hand. It may feel new at first, but soon you’ll find your own rhythm, and we will laugh together as we make them.
We will cook them using the traditional Japanese pan-frying method, creating a crispy golden bottom and a juicy inside.
Along with Gyoza, we will make Tamagoyaki (Japanese rolled omelet) and simple Onigiri (rice balls).
And I will prepare Miso soup which with some Japanese ingredients.
At the end, we will sit down, relax, and enjoy the meal we created together.

About 20〜25minutes from Osaka station or Shin-Osaka station by train(no transfer). Please take JR Osaka Higashi Line to Hanaten. I will be waiting for you around the exit. ( There is only one exit so don't worry!) It takes only 5 minutes walk from Hanaten station to the place where my class is held.
I will explain what we will make together and also,I will give you my recipes of course! Let's get started, shall we?
In this class, you’ll learn how to make tamagoyaki, a beloved Japanese rolled omelet. We gently cook thin layers of seasoned egg and roll them one by one to create its signature shape. It may look simple, but it requires timing and care — and it’s so satisfying when you get it right! This slightly sweet omelet is a comfort food for many Japanese people.
In this class, you’ll make Japanese gyoza completely from scratch! We’ll mix fresh ingredients for the filling, then I’ll guide you step by step as you fold each dumpling with beautiful pleats. It’s easier than it looks — and so satisfying once you get the rhythm! Finally, we’ll cook them together until the bottoms turn perfectly crispy while the inside stays juicy. The sizzling sound, the aroma, and that first bite… pure happiness!
We begin by touching freshly cooked, steaming rice. You might laugh and say, “It’s hot!” as you gently hold it in your hands. Not too tight. But not so loose that it falls apart. Imagine you are holding something precious. Keep a little air inside. This is the moment you discover that “just right” pressure with your own palms. As the shape slowly comes together, you’ll see a little smile appear — “Oh… I’m actually making it.” Wrap it in nori, take a bite. The onigiri you made yourself has a surprisingly gentle, comforting taste.
Finally, everything comes together on the table. The gyoza you folded, the onigiri you shaped, each dish made with your own hands. We sit down, look at each other, and say, “Itadakimasu.” In that moment, it’s more than just food. It’s laughter, a little pride, and the warmth of sharing. You take the first bite — crispy, juicy, comforting. And somehow, it tastes even better because we made it together.
Yuka
Hello, I’m Yuka.
I started this cooking experience because I truly believe food is more than just something we eat — it’s something we share. When we cook together, we laugh, we learn, and we create memories that stay with us.
My gyoza are not about fancy ingredients or complicated techniques. They are about the joy of wrapping each one by hand, hearing the sound as they sizzle in the pan, and seeing everyone smile when we gather around the table.
Even if you are a beginner, please don’t worry. You don't need any cooking experience. You don't need perfect English.
Just bring your curiosity...I will take care of the rest!
I hope this will be more than a lesson — I hope it becomes a beautiful moment during your time in Japan.
I can’t wait to cook with you.
