Gyoza is a Japanese dumpling made by wrapping meat, cabbage, leek, etc. in a skin made of thin flour.
My family use soy sauce and sesami oil for a hidden taste for dumplings!

Ramen is typical Japanese cuisine noodle dishes. Originally Chinese food, but now No japanese dislikes it.

  • Ramen


    Ramen is a noodle soup dish and perhaps one of the most popular Japanese dishes. There are many flavours of ramen, such as Shoyu (soy sauce) ramen, Miso ramen, Tonkotsu (pork bone) ramen and so on. Common toppings are Chashu (braised pork), Negi (green onion) and Nori (dried seaweed).

  • Gyoza


    Gyoza is a dumpling using wrapping thing dough to hold the inner ingredients. Most commonly, minced pork, cabbage, Garlic and Leek. The origin of Gyoza is from China but it has evolved uniquely in Japan and now quite different from the Chinese one.

In this class, I can very simple way to make the Ramen for guest.
If you will get my recepi, you can make in your kitchen.

and you will also make a type of Japanese soul food Gyoza.
Gyoza is originally chinese steamed duplings food, but in Japanese style is pan-fried instead of steamed.
so very crispy.

Hello My name is Yoriko. please call me Yoriko.
I was cooking teacher.20years ago.

Now I will show you Japanese seasonal typical dishes for foreigner at old house.
It takes 3minutes from my yard on foot.
This house was built 150years ago.It's very very cool!!
There is useful renovation kitchen and beautiful classical garden.
And my house has large yard. My husband and I bring up various vegetables by non-chemical.
Of course You can harvest our vegetables for your Tempura cooking class. And I have ramen and gyoza classes etc...

Shall we cook together and eat our delicious dishes at traditional house?
For example Tempura, salad,Ramen nudle Gyozo and miso soup etc...

Sorry I can speak Limited English . Nowadays I start to study English conversation.
But I can use body language!! and I can speak Korean language without body language^^

We are a couple with two teenage children. We had a cooking class with Yoriko to learn how to make Gyozo and Ramen. Yoriko is very nice and friendly and the food we made was delicious. The traditional Japanese house itself was a very special place to cook and to eat in. The whole experience was very cozy. Can't wait to try to make it at home! Looking at my messy handwriting, it would have helped to receive written recipes. We really recommend the lesson, it was one of the highlights of our trip to Japan. Thank you very much Yoriko (:

Really great experience cooking with Yoriko! She met me at the bus stop and we walked to the traditional Japanese house (now a community centre) and we had some tea. Then we made Gyoza and ramen, both were delicious! Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting to cook some famous Japanese dishes, thanks for a lovely time Yoriko :)
