  • Green Tea

    Green Tea

The astringent constituent in Japanese tea is a type of polyphenol called catechin. Japan has done a great deal with the humble tea leaf. For example some benefits of the catechin in the tea leaf can lower cholesterol in some cases. We really enjoyed this experience. Sachiko was really welcoming and patient and taught us very well, taking time to explain all of the ingredients and timings. She also was kind enough to make us matcha tea to drink and show us the local area, including a beautiful viewpoint. Overall it was very well organized and she was lovely. Highly recommended.
