○ Ramen
There are many different types of ramen depending on the region in Japan, and in my class we make authentic Chinese ramen from scratch. We make a soy sauce-based soup with chicken wings and green onions, and make the toppings of pork belly block charshu, boiled eggs, and bamboo shoots together with the guests. Learn cooking methods and techniques to easily make authentic ramen at home.
○ Gyoza
Gyoza is one of Japan's most representative home-cooked dishes. The fillings are wrapped in a thin wheat flour skin, steamed, and baked. The fillings include minced meat, cabbage, and chives. Add soy sauce, garlic, and secret ingredients and mix well. Finally, add oil and bake to make it fragrant and crispy.
In this class, after an explanation of the seasonings and ingredients, we will make ramen soup from scratch. While making the soup using chicken wings, we will make the toppings for the ramen. For the boiled eggs, we season soft-boiled eggs with soy sauce and etc. The roast pork is simmered in a soy sauce-based sauce and is very filling. The bamboo shoots are boiled in soy sauce and chicken soup powder, and chili oil is added at the end. We will use commercially available gyoza wrappers. We will cut vegetables of ingredients of gyoza afterwards add sesame oil and oyster sauce to season the gyoza filling well and make it juicy. It is fun to chat with everyone while wrapping the gyoza. Before boiling the ramen noodles, we will set the table together. The noodles will not taste good if they become soft, so be sure to eat them as soon as they are boiled.
After the lunch, please enjoy dessert. It is special coffee dessert only found in Japan!
I will meet guests at station. It takes 5 minutes on foot from my house.
After introduction, I will give a detailed description of the cooking.
It will take about 2.5 hours . While making ramen soup, we will cut vegetable, making gyoza and making toppings of ramen.
Lets have a lunch together! Finally we can talk more with relaxing. I will serve special Japanese coffee dessert to my guests!
After the class I will return in the guests together to the Nishigahara 4-chome station .
