Kyoto is the heart of Japan’s matcha culture.
In this hands-on class, you will experience matcha not only as a drink, but also as a cuisine and a traditional art.

1)We begin by learning the basics of Japanese seasonings and how to make dashi, the foundation of Japanese cooking.
2)stir fried eggplants and Shimegi mushrooms in sesame oil.
3)Using high-quality matcha from Uji, Kyoto, we will boil matcha soba noodles, a refreshing and elegant dish
4)Making KINSHITAMAGO using a square fling pan.
After lunch, you will be introduced to the world of Japanese tea ceremony.
I will demonstrate a traditional tea ceremony in the Ryurei style, which is performed with tables and chairs and is very comfortable for first-time guests.

You will also have the chance to make your own bowl of matcha and enjoy it in a calm, relaxed

Come and discover the depth, beauty, and flavor of matcha—and you may fall in love with it, just like I did.

    Tea Ceremony

The Japanese tea ceremony is a centuries-old tradition closely tied to Zen Buddhist principles, and a popular way to experience Japanese culture. There are several variations on this ritual. At its base, powdered green tea (matcha) is prepared and served in accordance with strict rules. Oftentimes, wagashi (Japanese sweets) is served alongside the bitter green tea.
