Our class is located in the heart of Tokyo, at our home kitchen in a quiet residential area 10 minutes walk from Shinagawa station. We will meet you at 11:00am in front of the ticket office right outside the Central gate and will head to our home kitchen together.
Upon arrival, matcha soy latte will be served as a welcome drink in a Japanese tea ceremony style. Then we will start making fresh and tender gyoza wrappers from scratch which is a special homemade treat. It is a rewarding experience you will definitely enjoy. Then we will make crispy vegan yaki gyoza and flavorful vegan dan dan noodles together. The main ingredients for our dishes will be soy meat, vegetables and fresh vegan noodles. In addition to this menu, we will be serving homemade dessert. All our dishes will be arranged in a traditional Japanese setting with antique and artist's tableware.
Our menus use ingredients that can be found in a nearby supermarket so it will be easy for you to try them back home. All recipes will be given as souvenirs.
Our class is in English and last for about three hours. Aprons will be provided so please come empty-handed. While enjoying our dishes, we would love to talk not only about the menu but the places we recommend you to visit in Tokyo. We would be happy to help you make your trip memorable!
★Our class is from 11:30 to 14:30 (meet at Shinagawa station 11:00).

★★★★★The cooking class was great fun! I learned how to make Gyoza from scratch and Tan Tan noodles. Both were very delicious. Naho and Tomoko are both very friendly, open-minded people, and it was a great pleasure to cook with them. Since Tomoko studied English and has lived abroad for over 10 years, communication was very easy (Naho also knows some English, but she is not as fluent as Tomoko). Upon my arrival, Naho made a delicious soy matcha latte for me. The brief excursion into the Japanese tea ceremony is a nice little extra to this class. When we turned to cooking, we went back and forth between the two recipes, as the Gyoza dough needs to rest in the fridge twice. If you lose track at any point, no worries — you get to take the recipes home. My favorite part was folding the Gyoza wrappers; it felt almost meditative. I also received a few extra tips from them that are not in the written recipes. I definitely ate way too much because everything was so delicious! I thought the feast would end with the dishes we cooked, but they even prepared Kakigori (Japanese shaved ice) with traditional Japanese toppings for dessert. I truly want to thank them both for the enriching insight into Japanese cooking and culture, as well as for their warm hospitality.
