Omurice is a Japanese dish consisting of an omelette and fried chicken rice with flavored with ketchup.
It is common to draw or write messages on top of the omelette!
Rice is a staple food in Japan. In all most every family, there is a rice cooker. There is variety of Japanese rice brands such as Koshihikari and Hitomebore.
In this class, we can cook Omurice together! We will teach you the chef’s tip on how to make the omelette soft, fluffy, and melty.
Feel free to draw or write messages on top of the omelette, which is a common way for Japanese people to enjoy Omurice!
You can choose from the two styles of Omurice:
1. Putting rice over omelette, which you break open the omelette right before you eat as you watch the eggs melt
Or 2. Wrapping the fried rice with the thin omelette which is the classic style Omurice.
