Our cooking experience begins with a warm welcome at Moriguchi subway station (Exit 4), where I’ll meet you and guide you on a short 4-minute walk to my home. Upon arrival, I’ll provide a brief introduction to the class and an overview of what we’ll be creating together.
We’ll start by making the flavorful ramen soup base, followed by preparing chashu—a tender, braised pork that is a signature topping for ramen. While the ramen simmers to perfection, we’ll shift our focus to crafting the delicious filling for gyoza, choosing between pork or chicken.
Next, we’ll cook the gyoza, achieving the perfect balance of crispy and juicy, before finishing up the ramen with final toppings and assembly. Once everything is ready, we’ll sit down together to enjoy the meal, chatting and practicing some basic Japanese phrases to enhance your cultural experience.
It’s a fun, hands-on class that combines great food, a taste of Japanese culture, and plenty of warm hospitality. I can’t wait to cook with you!

Ryoko
Welcome to Our Cooking Class in Osaka!
Hello! My name is Ryoko, and I’m excited to share my love of Japanese food and culture with you. With over 20 years of experience working in the restaurant industry and a passion for meeting people from around the world, I’ve created a unique cooking experience that combines delicious food, warm hospitality, and a taste of everyday Japanese life.
I studied English abroad and enjoy connecting with visitors from different countries. During our class, I’ll teach you how to prepare authentic Japanese dishes while introducing you to some basic Japanese phrases that may be helpful during your stay in Osaka. I want this experience to feel fun, relaxed, and, most importantly, “Japanesey”—an authentic glimpse into Japanese culture and life.
Our cooking class takes place in my home, just a 4-minute walk from Moriguchi subway station (Exit 4) on the Tanimachi subway line (purple line). I’ll personally meet you at the station to guide you to the house. If you’re staying nearby, we may also be able to arrange a van pick-up—just let us know in advance, and we’ll do our best to accommodate you.
I look forward to welcoming you to my home and sharing the joy of Japanese cooking with you. Let’s create delicious memories together!
Warm regards,
Ryoko
