・Ramen
・Gyoza
・Small dessert
・Japanese tea or water
We will cook home-style creamy ramen broth and ramen garnishes like grilled pork, seasoned egg, and other toppings, and Gyoza from scratch. All recipes were created by me to recreate easily at home. You will learn how to cook ramen broth made from chicken within 30 mins without instant soup stock. Firstly, I will explain all ingredients to make the dishes. Then, I will demonstrate how to make all the dishes and we will cook together. Finally, we will eat them and enjoy chatting after finishing cooking.
WHAT TO EXPECT
・Understand basic Japanese ingredients
・Learn how to prepare all the ingredients to make ramen soup and the toppings
・Learn how to make gyoza skin and gyoza filling
・Learn how to wrap gyoza and grill
My lessons are not only about watching demonstrations but also putting them into practice as I want to give you enough information to help you cook them again when you return home. Moreover, I can suggest which ingredients are better to use instead of Japanese ones since I struggled to get them while living abroad. After finishing the cooking class, you will get a recipe PFD file or paper.
【Note】
* Please kindly let me know if you have any special dietary requirements. Vegan and vegetarian options are available.
* I will use pre-made ramen noodles.
* Children ages 4 and up are welcome to our classes. However, they must be given strict parental supervision since there will be something dangerous such as hot stoves and sharp knives in the kitchen.
* Only one slot available on 14, 22, 25, 29 in November, 20, 27 in December. Other dates have at least two slots available.
Hi, I am Saeko. I've run my own cooking studio and taught over 500 foreign guests in English since 2018, as well as working as a professional food stylist and recipe creator.
I was born and raised in Osaka, and live with my husband, a year-old kid, and a small bird java sparrow. I used to work as a Japanese chef in Denmark and traveled to 21 countries. Living abroad, I got to experience cooking and teaching my foreign friends how to cook Japanese foods and we could know each other through the experiences. It was an unforgettable memory. And, I am really passionate about exploring or discovering food and learning the ways of cooking. I would like to share my cooking knowledge and skills and talk with everyone from all over the world!

★★★★★The cooking class was great! I really enjoyed it and learned a lot of new things that I can’t wait to try on my own. Saeko is very welcoming, encouraging and kind. She took photos of us cooking and later shared a pdf file with instructions, so we could focus on the food instead of taking notes. I’m grateful for this experience and highly recommend it to anyone who is interested in cooking Japanese food.
